There are some interesting and varied destinations on Bali's neighbouring islands. Adnyana Bali Tours can pre-arrange ticketing and provide land based transfers to ports of embarkation.
Tour Packages
With the exception of Lembongan - which can be visited comfortably in one day, excursions to these destinations require at least one overnight stop. Although assistance can be provided, it is the client's responsibility to arrange accommodation for the duration of their stay.

:Gili Islands
Destination: Lying on the northern fringe of Lombok are the Gili Islands – Trawangan, Air and Meno. These tiny coral-fringed islets, with their white sandy beaches and clear waters are popular with diving enthusiasts. The largest island, Trawangan, offers a variety of accommodation packages.
Getting there:The trip to Padangbai harbour takes approximately 1 hour. Cruise operator, Island Xpress (Gili Cat) operates a morning service between Bali, Lombok and Gili Trawangan. The crossing takes approximately 90 minutes.

Cruising to Gili Trawangan is possible from Benoa harbour. BlueWater Express provides a 3 hour crossing departing at 8am , four times weekly.
Cruise ticket cost (one way): US$ 67.
Money. There are no banks or ATM’s on the Gili islands, and money-changer exchange rates are higher than Bali.


:Java (Mount Bromo)
Destination: The Tengger National Park is one of eight official nature reserves in East Java and centres around the volcanic mountains Bromo and Semeru, the latter being Java's highest mountain (3,676m).
Getting there:Our morning drive, via Bali’s west coast, takes us to Gilimanuk where we board the car ferry to Java. The journey continues through numerous small rural villages before arriving at our overnight stop at Tengger. Beginning at 3 am the next morning we drive to the best vantage point at nearby Mount Penanjakan where we can either hire a horse or climb the steps to the rim of the Bromo’s crater to witness the sunrise over Semeru. After a hotel breakfast we return to Bali.

Breaking the return journey with an overnight stop in northern Bali is worthy of consideration. The trip to Java takes about 10 - 12 hours each way, and combined with an early morning sunrise viewing, can be tiring. Stopping an additional night at the seaside resort, Pemuteran, or the mountain retreat, Munduk, provides an ideal balance.


:Lembongan
Destination: Glimpsed from south and east Bali, the island of Lembongan beckons many tourists – mostly for day trips. There are some quality resorts offering overnight packages that provide a relaxing break from the frenetic pace of Bali. Diving, snorkelling and surfing are popular activities.
Getting there:The trip to Padangbai harbour takes approximately 1 hour. From there, small boat charters are available for the 45 minute crossing to Lembongan beach (Pantai Jungut Batu).Boat charter cost (one way): IDR 25,000 net/person.Alternatively, from Sanur, Lembongan Island Fast Cruises (Scoot Boat) provides 3 daily crossings of 30 minute duration.

The Fun Ship, operated by Island Explorer Cruises and Coconuts Beach Resort, departs Benoa harbour daily at 9 am. The 40 minute cruise to Lembongan precedes the water-sport activity package and BBQ lunch provided. Clients may choose to return to Bali at 5 pm or stay overnight.

:Lombok
Destination: Located to the east of Bali, and of similar size, Lombok is scenically and culturally different to its close neighbour. Ninety percent of the population are Sasaks, a Muslim people with a unique culture and language. The Senggigi beach area is idyllic and popular whilst the surfing enthusiasts prefer the reefs of Kuta beach.
Getting there:The trip to Padangbai harbour takes approximately 1 hour. From there you can board the twice-daily ferry (Perama Boat), to Lembar harbour that takes 4 hours.Ferry ticket cost (one way): IDR 200,000 net/person.
Alternatively, Island Xpress (Gili Cat) operates a 90 min morning cruise to Lombok (Teluk Nare) via Gili Trawangan.

Flying. Tourists who travel from Bali to Lombok generally choose a “short-time” sojourn. To maximize this time, travelling by air is the popular option. There are several airlines that provide a varied weekly timetable. Generally speaking, there are 3 daily return flights from Denpasar to Mataram. The flight takes approximately 35 minutes.
