The Geography |
Denpasar is the administrative centre and transport hub of Bali. Located 16 kilometres from the airport the city offers a glimpse of modern day Bali without the tourist trappings. All areas (districts, towns and villages) between the business centre and the coast are referred to as South Bali, and being virtually at sea level, form the crucible of the tourist precinct. Twenty years ago, tourists predominantly stayed in the districts of Kuta and Sanur. Ten years ago, Nusa Dua, Tuban and Tanjung Benoa enjoyed favoured status. Now self-contained villas are proliferating around the Seminyak and Canggu districts. |
Tour Packages |
Plans for escorted tours in this area of Bali are dependent upon what precinct the guest has chosen as “home base”. Many interesting locations are easily accessible on foot or by a short and inexpensive local taxi ride. Packages that include a mix of culture and adventure prove to be the most popular. At any time during the course of these tours changes can be tailored to suit the client's personal requirements. Please note that meal and refreshment breaks will be offered, but are subject to the client’s instruction, and that each tour price does not include these costs. |
